Last Friday, sailors and many other guests ceremoniously walked into the most exclusive club in any of Croatian marinas, the Portus Beach Club in D-Mrain Marina Dalmacija in Sukošan.

The International Charter Expo – ICE, one of the world’s largest workshops for charter companies, started yesterday, on the 11th of March, in the Zagreb Arena, and will continue today and tomorrow. It brought together a little over a hundred charter fleets from around the world, most of them – forty – from Croatia, followed by Greece, Italy and Turkey, but also some from the Caribbean and other exotic destinations.

Once again this year, the editorial board of More Magazine, the leading Croatian nautical publication, has prepared publications intended for foreign sailors.

The Lastovo Islands Nature Park presented its Sustainable Tourism Plan, whose main goal is to establish Lastovo as a recognizable tourist destination with well-preserved natural and cultural heritage.

The world’s fastest growing tourism sector, luxury cruises, is still rapidly growing, despite the past crisis and signs of a new global crisis.

Despite the understandable fear of owners of charter companies for their own business, Croatian charter companies should be cautious, but have no reason to be worried in 2016.
